Ahead of the second anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, and following a series of conversations with many of those affected by the disaster, the Bishop of Kensington, the Rt Revd Dr Graham Tomlin, has today published a report on the Social Legacy of Grenfell. The report was launched with the support of Resurgo Trust.

The report seeks to identify an agenda for change, by highlighting the factors which should be given close attention in the coming years. The following factors were identified from a series of conversations the Bishop held with survivors from the Tower, the bereaved, volunteers, community groups, activists and many others:

• Renewing democracy
• Humanising welfare
• Becoming neighbours
• Providing homes
• Valuing faith

The Rt Revd Dr Graham Tomlin, the Bishop of Kensington said:

Their commitment to supporting local communities and skill at making things happen have made them ideal partners to what I hope is a report that will set an agenda for the future of our life together as a nation.”

This year, Resurgo Trust launched Spear North Kensington, just a stone’s throw from Grenfell Tower, which will offer young people in the local area support to overcome the social challenges they face.
