News from our CEO, Jo Rice

As we’ve been celebrating Resurgo’s 20th anniversary, I have been reflecting on all the highs (and a few of the lows) of the last two decades over recent weeks. It’s been wonderful to reminisce about the early days when Co-Founder Tom Jackson and I hatched plans at the kitchen table, all the young people we have coached, all the teams we have supported, and the partnerships we have forged; not to mention the parties we have hosted.

But in my own time of reflection, as I have considered what lies ahead in the next season for Resurgo as an organisation and for me personally, I have come to the conclusion that this is the perfect time to hand the baton on. To that end, I will be leaving Resurgo at the end of the year.

This decision carries so many mixed emotions: my role is as joyful and fulfilling as it has ever been and I will miss both the work we do and our remarkable team enormously. However, thanks to our many supporters, Resurgo is delivering world-class transformative work and the charity is strong and flourishing – and that seems like a good moment to hand it on.

There is still so much to do in pursuit of our shared vision, but I am confident that what we have built to date is the strongest of foundations for what is to come. I am extremely grateful for the ongoing leadership of Tom Jackson and the Trustees. I will be leaving Resurgo in December in very safe hands. The CEO vacancy is now live.
