Livingbridge is an independent private equity firm of over 80 people in the UK, US and Australia. Having grown significantly over the last three years, almost doubling headcount within a year, many of the new team members came from large enterprises. Hence, they were operating with different cultural norms to the rest of the Livingbridge team,
The Livingbridge leadership had previously developed a strong set of values statements. They were seeking to embed these shared skills, behaviours and language across the organisation, enabling the whole team to intentionally live these values.
We began by listening to the Livingbridge team, then designed a 3-session programme; ‘Developing a Feedback Culture’, which sought to identify the skills and language required to enable better communication across the entire company. The content was designed to equip the whole team with the language and skills needed to:
The programme challenged the team to practice these new skills, live in the sessions, and to deploy them between sessions in their teams, reporting back in the subsequent sessions
Since then, Livingbridge has seen a marked improvement in both communication and employee engagement. They have reported an improvement in team dynamic and peer relationships, they use the language, skills and tools, including the C-me colour-profiling tool on a daily basis. Team members talk openly about how they appreciate the personal development that the investment in the programme represents. Livingbridge now uses the C-me colour-profiling tool in its induction process, while retaining Resurgo Consulting as a key training consultant.
“It is difficult to take a topic like ‘giving and receiving feedback’ and try to work on it as a whole firm. Resurgo were able to engage across the whole firm at different levels and to deliver really useful, structured interactions. It was really energising and impactful for our business. Would certainly recommend them to others.” – Wol Kolade, Managing Partner, Livingbridge
