Carrie Longton

Carrie is co-founder of Mumsnet, an online community of parents sharing advice, support and product recommendations. Over the last almost 20 years it has become the UK’s busiest and most influential network for parents with over 128 million page views a month, 15 million monthly users, and a network of over 10,000 influencers. Carrie was listed 7th in BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour’s 2013 Power List of the 100 most powerful women in the UK. In 2010, she won Red Magazine’s Red Hot Woman of the Year. Prior to Mumsnet Carrie was a TV producer, creating prime time Saturday night shows, travel documentaries and ITV’s millenium special with Clive James. In November 2018 Carrie exited Mumsnet and is now pursuing other interests including being a trustee of Resurgo, working with Business in the Community to help regenerate her home town of Blackpool, mentoring new businesses and fundraising to build a new Christian centre in Camden with accommodation for young people coming out of care, provision for the homeless and training for 16-24 year old NEETS.
