Spear Programme

Corporate Partnerships

Inspire the future

Thousands of unemployed young people are eager to overcome whatever obstacles they are facing and get into work. Your skills, influence, experience and financial support can help them get there.

As a Corporate Partner, your support will:

  1. Help unemployed young people enter sustainable employment or further education
  2. Provide an opportunity for your staff to volunteer their professional skills
  3. Make a positive impact on your strategic CSR objectives
  4. Play an influential role in reducing unemployment in your local community

Three ways to get involved

1. Sponsor a cohort

Sponsor a cohort of 12-15 young people on the Spear Programme. Experience the lasting influence your support can have.

2. Volunteering opportunities

Encourage your staff to volunteer their professional skills, helping Spear programme candidates with:

  • Mock interviews
  • Career Q&A panel
  • Hosting a company visit

3. Employ young people

Offer entry-level roles to our diverse, motivated Spear candidates. Help them take that first crucial step towards long-term employment.

Thank you so much for the chance to help with Spear Mock Interviews today. It was a superbly organised process and from the feedback, it really makes a difference to the trainees’ chances in securing a job. Our interviewee Curtis is a dedicated, honest and adaptable person… [and] we could tell he has listened to feedback and is working on self-improvement at every opportunity.

Spear graduates have brought a huge amount to our business – 10% of our workforce are now Spear graduates. They’re quick learners, they’re keen and they inspire the rest of our staff by their enthusiasm. I’d really encourage any business to consider hiring Spear graduates.

John Spiers, Chair of EQ Investors and CEO of the EQ Foundation

Spear's goal for its young people is not only to get them into work, but also to ensure that they sustain and progress in employment to become financially independent adults. It is one of the very few programmes in the country that has an innovative approach to coach young people for one full year to secure a job and help them progress their career.

Chiku Bernardi, Investment Director, Impetus

We're very glad to have had the opportunity to have Daniel intern with us and will look forward to continued partnership with Spear.
