Resurgo’s training response to the challenges of Covid-19 is Highly Commended by the Princess Royal Training Awards

Resurgo is delighted to be named as one of five ‘Highly Commended’ organisations in the new Princess Royal Training Awards Covid Commendation.

This commendation recognises Resurgo’s use of training in response to the organisational challenges caused by the pandemic, deeming it to be ‘exemplary’.

We are proud that the Princess Royal Training Awards Assessment Team cited our ‘resourcefulness and growth mindset’, in

  • moving our face-to-face Spear Programme online and equipping our staff to do so;
  • in developing our new programme, Re-Work, to support older unemployed people;
  • and in training other organisations to manage teams online well, through Resurgo Consulting.

The Spear Programme has worked with more than 900 young people since  moving to online delivery format.

Jo Rice, Resurgo’s Chief Executive, said, “We are thrilled that our training response to Covid19 has been so positively recognised in this way. In a year of unparalleled challenge, this commendation serves as testament both to the dedication of our team and to the resilience of the communities we serve. As a previous recipient of the Princess Royal Training Award in 2017, we are pleased that this commendation affirms our ongoing commitment to training and development, both of our own staff and those with whom we work more widely.”
